My good computer crapped out and has 5 viruses and me and my dad are trying to fix it but its turn to shit and I'llprobably have to go buy an XP cd.

Yo wrackem if we can't fix it the odds are I have to go without a computer that can run games for about 1/2 a year with the way my dad is raging and shit.

Advice for new virus killer: Avast! antivirus. The BEST program I have ever used. I actually got a nasty trojan and avast restarted my computer to minimize damage, and then ran a full virus scan BEFORE even booting windows, and killed the virus before it could mess up anything that matters.

Also its completely free provided after the first month or so you register your email address and get a yearly registration key.

And if you can't fix it, couldn't you just replace the hard drive rather than the whole computer? Or is it a mac? I replaced my hard drive with a 200GB drive for something like 40 bucks from ebay a couple years ago

Just format the hard drive perhaps. It should be rather easy to eliminate the virus, there`s no need to do Shift + Delete to the entire computer.

I didn't know emachines computers came with a built in recovery program. I was freaking out because this comp didn't come with a recovery disk


And of course, I backed up important stuff to my ipod, and when I put the stuff back on my computer, the hard drive in my ipod died
I've had this thing for 3 years, and it finally gave its last dying breath restorting backed up data. Rest in peace noble ipod.


edit: nvm fixed my ipod, but wasn't that a dramatic eulogy?
